From Issey Miyake's Fall/Winter 1996 collection, a Top cut with a rounded boat neckline and long fitted sleeves worked entirely in the house's signature fine micro-pleating. The pleats run vertically through the body and down each sleeve, giving the piece its elastic, body-tracing stretch, while the hem falls straight and the pull-on construction forgoes any closure. The interior carries the "Pleats Please Guest Artist Series No.1 Yasumasa Morimura" woven label. Unmistakably Miyake in its technical, sculptural pleating.
